TRACK, TREAT, AND PREVENT

Traditional Culture

Traditional methods for diagnosing infection have relied largely on microbiology laboratories selecting, isolating, and then identifying pathogenic organisms via culture. This can be very time-consuming. For some fastidious or slow-growing organisms, the delay to definitive diagnosis can stretch to weeks, while some organisms cannot be cultured at all. Other drawbacks with culture methods include problems with sensitivity, cost, and potential safety concerns with pathogenic organisms.

Glen Dakan

Co-founder / Chief Executive Officer

Glen Dakan is a serial entrepreneur, whose ventures have been featured in Inc., BusinessInsider, and the KC Business Journal. Dakan served 11 years active duty as a US Navy pilot, then as a military veteran founder, spent 7 years building ventures in automotive and technology, having bootstrapped to $9M in sales and raised $1M from investors. He is now building Automatiq, which is developing the Animal Health industry’s most robust DNA/RNA-based infectious disease diagnostics & bioinformatics platform. He holds a BS in Neuroscience & Pre-Med from Vanderbilt, and an MBA and MS Finance from the Kelley School of Business, IU.
